Rijeka fans halted their side’s Europa Conference League match at Olimpija Ljubljana by throwing flares onto the pitch.
The match took place at the 16,038-seat Stozice Stadium in Slovenia on Thursday.
Play was stopped in the 60th minute, with Olimpija leading 5-0, as flares rained down from the stand containing Rijeka fans.
Flares were also thrown into the stands where Olimpija’s home fans were sat.
The players were taken off the pitch and into the changing rooms, while some Rijeka fans started to fight with police and set several seats on fire.
The Croatian side’s fans were then escorted out of the Stozice Stadium.
After about a 25-minute delay, the match was restarted.
