Fans of Caxias and Figueirense fought on the terraces during their Brazilian Serie C match on Sunday.
The match was played out at the Centenario Stadium in the southern city of Caxias do Sul.
The fighting began at the beginning of the second half as rival fans broke down a metal barrier separating them.
Play was held up for several minutes while riot police restored order.
