Feyenoord and Metalist Kharkiv fans clashed in the eastern Ukrainian city of Kharkiv ahead of the Dutch side’s Champions League match with Shakhtar Donetsk.
There were a number of clashes between both sets of supporters in the city before the game, which took place at the Metalist Stadium on Wednesday.
The most serious incident occurred on Tuesday night when a group of Feyenoord fans attacked a handful of Metalist Kharkiv fans in a pub.
Windows were smashed and the interior of the pub was damaged during the clash.
52 people were detained and taken to a police station for questioning. There were 40 Feyenoord fans among those detained, according to local media.
