West Bromwich Albion’s FA Cup clash against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday was suspended after trouble erupted in the stands.
The game at the Hawthorns was stopped in the 78th minute, moments after Wolves scored to take a 2-0 lead against their local rivals.
Scuffles broke out in the corner of the West Stand and the Birmingham Road End – a section meant for only home fans – following that goal and fans entered the pitch.
According to reports, the trouble was sparked by Wolves fans celebrating their side’s second goal in that section.
A number of West Brom fans also clashed with cops and stewards who tried to restore order.
One man was seen being escorted off the pitch by police with his head covered in blood. Another man was taken out of the stadium on a stretcher.
Several people were arrested over the disorder.
Play eventually restarted after a 38-minute stoppage.
The game finished 2-0 to Wolves, who will now face Brighton in the fifth round of the competition.
