Real Sociedad and Roma fans clashed near the Anoeta Stadium in San Sebastian before their Europa League match on Thursday.
The two sets of fans were filmed fighting and throwing chairs at each other in the middle of a busy road just hours before kick-off.
The fighting started after a coach carrying Roma fans to the Basque side’s stadium was attacked by Real Sociedad fans who threw various objects, smashing windows. The Roma fans quickly got off the bus and immediately clashed with their Real Sociedad rivals.
Police then intervened to separate the two groups.
At least two people were arrested and one Roma fan was injured, according to local media.
