Trouble erupted between Nancy and Sochaux fans in the stands at the Marcel Picot stadium after their third division match on Friday.
Both sets of fans taunted each other and threw seats over the fence separating the away section from the home fans after the game, which Nancy won 1-0.
Riot police were forced to step in to restore order.
