Nurnberg and Stuttgart hooligans clashed inside the Max Morlock Stadium after their German Cup quarter-final tie on Wednesday.
Nurnberg lost the game 1-0 and were knocked out of the competition.
The stadium was almost empty when a group of Nurnberg hooligans made their way to the away end and clashed with their Stuttgart counterparts.
Rival hooligans threw punches and kicked each other as security tried to separate them.
Riot police were called in to quell the trouble.
