PAOK’s Greek Cup semi-final against Olympiacos at the Toumba Stadium was abandoned on Wednesday as home fans clashed with riot police on the pitch.
Trouble broke out at the end of the match when PAOK were denied a clear penalty with the visitors leading 2-1.
The referee’s decision sparked fury from PAOK fans, who began to throw flares onto the pitch.
Furious PAOK fans then stormed the pitch and clashed with riot police, throwing flares, bottles and basically anything they could get their hands on.
Riot police used tear gas to disperse the rioting fans and the match was called off in the 90th minute.
