Hapoel Beer Sheva and Bnei Sakhnin fans clashed on the pitch prior to their Israeli Premier League match at the Turner Stadium on Sunday.
Bnei Sakhnin fans – who are predominantly Israeli Arabs – turned their backs on the Israeli national anthem prior to kick-off.
Furious Hapoel Beer Sheva fans then invaded the pitch and charged towards their Bnei Sakhnin counterparts at the opposite end of the ground.
Several Bnei Sakhnin fans also made their way onto the pitch and a scuffle ensued.
Order was eventually restored, but Bnei Sakhnin players refused to return to the pitch and the game was subsequently abandoned.
12 people were arrested as a result.
