Universitatea Craiova and Dinamo Bucharest fans clashed in the stands at the Ion Oblemenco Stadium prior to kick-off in their Liga 1 match on Saturday.
The trouble started when the two sets of fans started goading one another through the fence that split the home and away sections.
A group of visiting Dinamo fans then broke through the fence and started raining down blows on their rivals, while stewards tried to stop them.
