A Trabzonspor fan attacked an assistant referee during Sunday’s Turkish Super Lig match between Trabzonspor and Fenerbahce at the Huseyin Avni Aker Stadium, forcing the game to be abandoned.
It happened in the 91st minute of the match with the home side trailing 4-0.
A number of angry Trabzonspor fans invaded the pitch but one rushed towards the fifth official, who stands behind the goal line, knocking him to the ground with a punch and then continuing to punch and kick him before stewards and security intervened.
